I’ve written a new tune! My wonderful friend, fiddle player Geoff Irwin, gave me a pewter goblet (I can’t wait to take it to medieval festivals) so I needed to come up with a good way of saying thank you. And if you’re a folk musician… you write a tune. So, introducing ‘The Goblet’, and I’d be honoured if you’d like to play it.
It works as a 3/2 hornpipe, or if you want to play it a bit quicker it can have a polska feel. Here’s a video of Geoff and me playing it from the roof of my boat (since lockdown we’re not allowed to play inside together)!
Hope you enjoy it, and let me know if you play it. If you’d like me to put the harmony part in a different clef just ask.
Love, Anna x
